This plugin makes a function available to WordPress to that can be used in your WordPress themes.


Who would use this plugin?
Theme designers that would like to include post images (where they aren’t normally displayed by WordPress) in their themes for example:
1. A thumbnail list of the last 10 posts.
2. An index page with the image of each last post per category.
3. An archive page per category with the image of the posts in that category.

Plugin: VCS payment module for WP e-Commerce 3

michaelbain, in conjunction with pixelmagic has completed a development project for www.vet2petnet.co.za


The project involved an e107 content management system install and configuration as well as a significant custom portion for the online shop.


Vet2PetNet is a full portal with forums, private messaging, blogs and much more.


The online shop incorporates  categorised browsing, a shopping cart and checkout that accepts secure credit card transactions.

The website is a simple, static, brochure-ware site that advertises SuperbManiPedi‘s services, initiates contact with the reader and informs the reader about SuperbManiPedi in general.


The site boasts features such as:


  • The content can be updated by the site owner, securely, over the web. No HTML or programming experience is required.
  • Facebook Page integration.

After the success of www.bidahorse247.co.za, michaelbain was commissioned to develop and deploy an auction site solution for www.tackbox.co.za.


michaelbain delivered:


  • the request to put an item on auction form which caters for file upload, validation and emailing of the request details, with attachment to the site administrator (or the brood mare as she is called on tackbox).
  • the full-featured auction site for the venture. (michaelbain installed the auction solution, customised the auction solution, assisted with editing the content on the site and assisted with the theming of the auction solution. michaelbain coded custom functionality for the auction solution in PHP and using a MySQL database.)
  • all the static pages for the site and the linking of it into an integrated solution.
  • setting up and configuring the hosting environment and moving the site to it’s live location.
