michaelbain has successfully completed a website and e-commerce project for delifresh.

The striking design of the project was conceived and implemented by Rebellious (aka Anja).

The delifresh online shop displays all their products, allows the visitor to build a basket of products to buy and allows the visitor to check out. Site visitors do not need to be logged in to shop (but if they do register their details are remembered on future purchases) and can choose to pay later by EFT or in real-time with a credit card.

Built on the popular WordPress platform and also utilising the VCS payment module for WP e-Commerce plugin,  the site owner can manage all aspects of the e-commerce solution through an admin interface.

The site also sends invoices to buyers on confirmation of payment, purchase orders to each supplier involved in the basket of goods and a waybill to the courier. The whole process is automated.

The site displays all the Equigifts products, allows the visitor to build a basket of products to buy and allows the visitor to check out and send their order to Equigifts.

Dunns provided the design concept and michaelbain implemented the concept and added functionality that allows Dunns to manage their own site, going forward, negating the need to contract a webmaster in future to make changes to their current content.

The site boast the following features:

• A templating system, rendering all pages and content consistently across the site
• A custom content management and administration interface allowing Dunns to manage their own site content
• An image-splash front page, managed through the admin interface
• A fashion catalogue picker that renders chosen Flash flipbooks or makes chosen PDF catalogues available for download, with an archive list, all managed through the admin interface
• A database driven AJAX store locator,  managed through the admin interface
• A custom contact us page, with Facebook fan and stream integration, managed through the admin interface

Some of the custom coded functionality includes:

• user profile creation and editing – multiple sections and related data
• a templating system that seperates design and logic. (pixelmagic, who did the graphical design, really liked this as they could edit the template files as flat html files, without seeing or understanding the logic)
• a complete admin interface to manage site settings and view created profiles
• admin-user management, by admin (adding / deleting /editing – with email activation of added admin accounts)
• a complex AJAX search builder for searching profiles and matching them to available board positions
