michaelbain has successfully delivered a complete design implementation and website development project to Profound Human Capital.
This is one we are very proud of as this was a complete end-to-end website development project completed to the highest level of client satisfaction, utilising various technologies and all neatly pulled together as a fully integrated WordPress theme and accompanying plugins, especially custom developed for Profound Human Capital.
We are especially proud of the following:
- The design was implemented completely from the ground up as a fully functional WordPress theme with various easy to use functions for the site administrator, such as drag and drop layout functionality, easy widget management, custom functionality and content formatting through shortcodes and easy content management.
- A complete ‘Intranet’ was implemented behind the publicly visible site where intranet users can access privileged information and interact with one another. This is also easily managed by the site administrator.
- The site connects to an external Client Relationship Management database, over and above the standard WordPress database, for much of it’s functionality and this connectivity has been seamlessly plugged into WordPress so that code maintenance and usage of the WordPress API is optimised.
- Live graphs are displayed in real-time from Client Satisfaction Survey data and visualised with the Google Chart API.
- Client Satisfaction Surveys are generated automatically on the placement of a candidate for a position and mailed to the company representative where the candidate was placed and to the candidate placed. Once the invitee has completed the Client Satisfaction Survey online the survey data is immediately ‘live’ and drives the live graphs. All aspects pertaining to the email templates used, content of the messages sent, questions presented, resending of previously sent invitations and integration of the survey data in the graphs are fully automated and is easily managed by the site administrator without the need for any programming knowledge.
- jQuery and jQueryUI plays a big part in the way the end user interacts with the website in a modern-day way and enhances the visitor experience. Examples of this includes: ‘No Refresh Interactive Data Tables and Listings’, the ‘Sticky Footer’ and the ‘View Source Data’ popups, amongst others.
- Job applications via the LinkedIn API if a candidate so chooses, instead of the standard ‘Fill in and Upload’ application form provided for.
- Of course, standard offerings such as Facebook sharing and integration, Google Analytics and an interactive contact form was also included.
We are the first measurable, independently-rated human capital resourcing company in South Africa. Performance reports are provided directly from our clients. Zero screening. Complete transparency.
We are so confident of our service levels that all survey results are correlated and presented unedited in real-time graphical format.

michaelbain has successfully completed a website and e-commerce project for delifresh.
The striking design of the project was conceived and implemented by Rebellious (aka Anja).
The delifresh online shop displays all their products, allows the visitor to build a basket of products to buy and allows the visitor to check out. Site visitors do not need to be logged in to shop (but if they do register their details are remembered on future purchases) and can choose to pay later by EFT or in real-time with a credit card.
Built on the popular WordPress platform and also utilising the VCS payment module for WP e-Commerce plugin, the site owner can manage all aspects of the e-commerce solution through an admin interface.
The site also sends invoices to buyers on confirmation of payment, purchase orders to each supplier involved in the basket of goods and a waybill to the courier. The whole process is automated.
Meet Wendy and Stefan: http://www.delifresh.co.za/about/
Both are lovers of great quality produce and believe that shopping for gourmet food online should be as easy as pie.
Why don’t you pop in and have a look at all the delectable deli products.

michaelbain has successfully completed a website and e-commerce project for Equigifts.
The site displays all the Equigifts products, allows the visitor to build a basket of products to buy and allows the visitor to check out and send their order to Equigifts.
Built on the popular WordPress platform, the site owner can manage all aspects of the e-commerce solution through an admin interface and can mamange products, images, sales, discounts and the like from this interface.
EQUIGIFTS was started by my love and passion for horses and the associated sports that revolve around the Horse Industry in general. I started the company in the middle of 2001, and it began with the idea for a friend’s birthday gift. The demands for the varied gifts that i had made and sourced snowballed and culminated into what is currently known today as “EQUIGIFTS”.
We aim to service the entire equestrian industry, whether it be Show Jumping, Polo, Dressage, Cross Country, Showing or any other equestrian affiliated event. We carry an exceptional range for all age groups. Our products are varied in colour, shape, design and style!
Thank you pixelmagic, for the site theme and design.

michaelbain has successfully developed and deployed a photo-blogging website for the freelance photographer, Jessie Slabbert.
Jessie needed a photo-blogging and journaling platform to use as a showcase for her freelance photography website, SnappedPhotos – and on a tight budget too!
She needed social media integration and reader interactivity as well as an easy way to manage and update her own content: WordPress theming and customisation to the rescue!
The design called for a smart, but not too busy approach so that the website itself does not detract from the real art – her photographs – but still provide a modern, relaxed, yet professional showcase for her work.
I am all about freelance photography.
SnappedPhotos is all about freelance photography.
Contact michaelbain so that we may discuss your particular needs and tailor-make a solution for you.
